Good morning. My name is Raymond Smith, Minister for Health and Ageing, and I am pleased to announce a major upgrade to the facilities at St Gregory’s Hospital in Saltham.

This upgrade will boast 88 new wards, four new specialist departments and a renovation to the chapel.

However, with all due respect, in this post, I picked up some trivial imperfections in Chinese translation.
1. Minister for Health and Ageing 健康老龄部长
Health 在中国一般翻译为卫生部，aging 我也不确定应该翻译成什么比较顺口。在正式语境中，一般要说完整，说XX部部长，特别是此处健康老龄部对于中国人而言是个从未听说过的部门，说健康老龄部部长更加容易理解
2.我很高兴地宣布在萨尔坦姆的圣乔治医院在设施上将会有个很大的改善。
这样的句子在国内一般叫做“翻译腔”，指的是是句型结构明显受到英文原文影响的句子。当然，人和中国人都能够理解句子意思，但是相对比较符合中文习惯说法可以是“我很高兴地宣布萨尔坦姆的圣乔治医院将大力改善其医疗设施”
3.我们同时致力于缩减选择性外科手术百分之三十五的等候时间
我们同时致力于将选择性外科手术的等待时间缩减百分之三十五
4.这将使医院每天能够处理78个额外的病人
这将使医院每天能够多处理78个病人。（处理病人这样的搭配也并不太好，不过如果改成治疗的话意思又不完全对，所以还是用处理吧）
5.这对圣乔治医院是一个里程碑，正如我们所知，由于从州政府获得基金不足，去年我们很挣扎。
这是圣乔治医院的一个里程碑（或者对圣乔治医院而言这是一个里程碑）。众所周知（“正如我们所知”是典型的“翻译腔”），由于州政府的补贴（或者说提供的资金，基金在国内专指金融工具）不足，去年是艰难的一年。（“去年我们很挣扎”这样的表达已经快要接近难以理解了）

今天，我很兴奋，因为我还要发布一个新计划，（也要发布一个新计划说明之前有别人发布了别的新计划，他接着发布另一个新计划。还要发布说明是一个并列的关系，之前做了XX事，现在再做一件事。“兴奋地发布一个新计划”也是翻译腔，将英文的副词直接翻译为“XX地”的时候，都要特别小心），它将把这个地区的人口老龄化问题放在首位。（把……放在首位，而非使……放在首位。人口老龄化是常用说法）
7.这个组合将分配基金用于将来的创新项目，诸如建造一个养老院，一个痴呆症病房，用来与老年痴呆症作斗争。
这一句中原文的package我觉得指的应该是上面提到的“新计划”吧。翻译成“组合”会让人很难理解。
8.来为需要疫苗接种的出境游澳洲人提供更好的服务。
以为因需出国而要接种疫苗的澳洲人提供更好的服务。（“来为”相对比较口语一些，以为更加正式一些。出境游专指出国旅游，不包括因公出差之类，而且不做定语）
9.这么做是因为依据一项最近的调查揭露，有45%的澳大利亚旅行者竟然还没有接种一些基本的疫苗，包括流行性感冒，破伤风，白喉以及百日咳。
依据一项最近的调查（或者一项最近的调查显示，依据……的揭露是把两种句型混在一起了，揭露这个词一般是针对腐败、犯罪等行为。“这么做是因为”在此处不需要加，一来中文很多时候不是靠连接词来表达上下文关系，而是靠文本本身的意思；二来加了以后不太顺口，有些累赘），有45%的澳大利亚旅行者竟然还没有接种一些基本的疫苗，例如流行性感冒，破伤风，白喉以及百日咳（我不知道如何解释为什么要用例如而不用包括，但是中文的习惯就是这样……）。
